Thomas Creal, former United Nations panel expert and financial forensic team lead for Task Force 2010 in Afghanistan, today announced that the grand premiere of the first of the first-of-its-kind Black Money mobile game will be held Sept. 15, 2017 in Belgrade.

The game will have four initial versions. The first is named, Eva Hajjaj, after the terrorist financier, who’s listed as #16 on the newly formed Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC).

For the creation of the Black Money mobile game, Creal teamed with several international experts along with the gaming firm, The B Team out of the Balkans.

“This is a new type of war and requires new thinking. The bad guys use social media to raise money. We are going one step further: We are developing a mobile game that will be played by millions of people around the world that each day will unmask the world of black money,” says Creal.

He adds the mobile app will act as the catalyst for identifying financiers of terrorism.

On August 6, 2014 the U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions under Executive Order 13224 on Hajjaj, stating “Hajjaj Al-‘Ajmi serves as a funnel for financial donations to Nusra Front (ANF) facilitators in Syria, traveling regularly from Kuwait to Syria to engage in financial activity on behalf of ANF and deliver money to the group.  He agreed to provide financial support to ANF in exchange for installing Kuwaitis in ANF leadership positions.  In early January 2014, he offered ANF money to lead a battlefield campaign in Homs, Syria.”

By following the money trail, Creal has identified the banks that were used by Hajjaj, as aiders and abettors of his acts of terrorism.

“This information could be used to add more names to the TFTC list, but at the very least makes for an entertaining and educational game.”

Game teasers and prototypes will be coming soon with the final version launched on September 15, 2017.
