FMOPAPlease join us for the fundraising opening reception of The Physicians Photography Show at 6 p.m. on March 3, 2016. The reception will be followed by a 7 p.m. lecture by Fadi Matar, M.D. who has organized the show featuring his photography as well as the photography of fellow physicians William Carson, Shawn Meader, Raviender Bukkapatnam, Amerigo Gonzalvo, Roberto Medina, Koushik Reddy, and Irwin Browarsky.

Dr. Matar, Associate Professor of Medicine at USF Morsani College of Medicine and Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Tampa General Hospital, specializes in nature photography and describes his practice as an “enchanted journey with an eternal quest for the elusive perfect shot.” Other categories of works included in the show include landscape, waterscape, cityscape, travel, and architectural photography.

“There is a wealth of photographic talent in the Tampa Bay area, and it is not only associated with our professional artists,” says Zora Carrier, FMoPA’s Executive Director. “Dr. Fadi Matar has organized a wonderful show of works by his colleagues who, like Dr. Matar, are both highly accomplished physicians as well as photographers. We are delighted to share their work with the community.”

Admission to the opening reception is $25.00 for non-members (free for FMoPA members) and includes wine and appetizers. All proceeds benefit the opening night reception and lecture. Admission to the lecture is free to public with a suggested donation of $10. The exhibition runs through April 30, 2016 with support from the Tampa General Hospital Foundation and NorthStar Bank.
