The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) offers an extensive array of beginning and advanced classes and workshops for children and adults. Interested students can choose from a substantial list of class offerings, including Photography 101 and 102, Portraiture with Off-Camera Lighting, Advanced Composition Techniques, Lightroom 101, and Photoshop CC Advanced Retouching. The museum also offers children’s workshops and summer camps reaching children ages 7-15, which encompass topics such as basic photography, experimental photography, and basic photo editing.

Individuals interested in developing their photography skills can choose from the vast courses listed on FMoPA’s website at http://fmopa.org/photographyclassestampa/. Students can select and register for classes to enhance their technique and portfolio or grow their knowledge of the history and business of photography. Course durations can range from single day classes to four consecutive weeks. Most courses take place in the museum’s classroom space on the third floor, or travel outside the classroom to local venues for unique shooting opportunities. “Our classes provide students with opportunities to not only engage in the classroom, but connect with the museum and exhibitions,” says director Zora Carrier.
