Smith Sr. has been in practice for more than four decades and is currently serving patients within the Endoscopy Center of Southeast Georgia in Vidalia, Georgia. He is also affiliated with Meadows Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Smith graduated his Medical Degree in 1975 from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in Augusta. Following the completion of medical school, he completed an internship and residency at the Memorial Health-University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee. He is also a Certified Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, remains a distinguished member of the the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and is the founder and President of Successful Solutions. When he is not working, Dr. Smith is a keen organic gardener with his own orchard.
