The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Thomas A. Webering, RN, BSN, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Thomas A. Webering is a Registered Nurse with four years of experience in his field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially intensive care, operating room with a concentration in spine surgery, cardiac,solid-organ transplants, and trauma nursing. Thomas is currently serving patients as a Neurosurgical/Trauma ICU nurse within a Level 1 shock trauma center at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.
Thomas graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2012 from the University of Iowa, College of Nursing. He then completed one of the first Nurse Residency programs in the country on a Neurology/Neurosurgery Intermediate Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Thomas then worked for Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, IL for 2 years and finally for University of Colorado Health. Thomas holds additional certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Trauma Nursing. In addition, he is certified as a National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Registered Nurse.
Thomas has worked in many areas of nursing, and keeps up to date with the latest advances in his field by maintaining a professional membership with the International Nurses Association. For his excellence, he is the recipient of a Governor’s Volunteer Award in 2008, and was nominated for the Daisy Award in 2016. Thomas attributes his success to his education, a hard work ethic, as well as his excellent mentors and preceptors. When he is not assisting his patients, Thomas enjoys playing the cello and classic guitar, spending time outdoors in the mountains, reading, and staying physically and mentally fit.
