Gamie is a highly trained and qualified physician with a vast expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Gamie has been in practice for more than two decades and is currently serving patients as the Director of Nuclear Medicine and Imaging Department Chair at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, California.
Dr. Gamie graduated with his Medical Degree in 1990 from Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in Alexandria, Egypt. Dr. Gamie originally trained as a Radiation Oncologist and performed his Radiation Oncology Fellowship at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and the University of California, Irvine. He subsequently gained his PhD in Radiation Oncology and Brachytherapy in 2005 jointly from the University of California Irvine & Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in Alexandria Egypt. Subsequently Dr. Gamie performed a Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT residency and fellowship at the University of Southern California. Dr. Gamie is certified by and has earned the coveted title of Diplomat of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Stanford University and is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Gamie maintains professional memberships with the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging along. He attributes his success to his hard work, and when he is not working, Dr. Gamie enjoys sports.
