The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Lady Melody Clancy, MAc, D.O.M., LAc., to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Dr. Melody Clancy is a highly trained and qualified Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncturist with an extensive expertise in all facets of her work, especially working with veterans and active military suffering from PTSD, TBI and pain. Dr. Clancy has been in practice for more than 13 years and is currently serving patients within her own private practice, Clancy Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, located in Lake Placid, Florida.
Dr. Clancy was educated at the East West College of Natural Medicine, and has received training in Critical Incident Stress Management and Community Emergency Response Team as well as other disaster response efforts.. Dr. Clancy worked in western medicine before obtaining her degrees in Oriental Medicine, and has taught for the American Heart Association. She served as Chair for the Board of Acupuncture for the state of Florida until 2015, a position she was appointed to by the Governor of Florida.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Clancy is a Major in the United States Civil Air Patrol, where she serves as a Health Service Officer. Her first love is for treating Veterans, and she operates the non-profit organization, Acupuncture 4 Veterans, Inc. as well as offering a trauma relief clinic through the Florida Acupuncture Trauma Relief Team. She was a provider for both the Veterans Administration and the Shepherd Center, and for her excellence, has received Lifesaving Awards from the United States Civil Air Patrol and the Sarasota County Fire Department. Dr. Clancy attributes her success to having experienced physical trauma in her life and recovering, helping her to understand the healing process, as well as striving to continually refine her techniques and expertise. When she is not working, Dr. Clancy enjoys spending quality time with her son.
