Kelly is a highly-trained and qualified ophthalmologist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially Vitreoretinal Disease. Dr. Kelly has been in practice for more than 20 years and is currently serving patients as a Vitreoretinal Specialist within the Retina Group of Florida in Boca Raton, Florida. He is also affiliated with JFK Medical Center.
Dr. Kevin T. Kelly graduated with his Medical Degree from Rutgers University Medical School. He subsequently interned at Staten Island Hospital and completed his Ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, before undertaking his two year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Retina Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kelly is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and currently serves as Treasurer of the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society.
To keep up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Kelly maintains professional memberships with American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association of Research and Ophthalmology, and the Schepens Society.
Dr. Kelly has focused on innovative treatments for diabetic retinopathy and its basic science. He has presented at ARVO, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and was one of the first surgeons in Florida to treat macular holes. He attributes his success to his parents who were hard workers, and provided an excellent example to follow. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Kelly is a Lacrosse Referee.
