Sonnenberg is a highly-trained and qualified dentist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Sonnenberg has been in practice for more than four decades and is currently serving patients within Flanders Pediatric Dentistry, LLC in Flanders, New Jersey.
Dr. Sonnenberg graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1972 from Columbia University School of Dentistry. After Dental School, Dr. Sonnenberg completed his one year Rotating Internship at the Connecticut Valley Hospital. He then received his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1975 from the University of Connecticut Hospital. He is board certified in Laser Dentistry, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Since 1975, Dr. Sonnenberg has taught at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Sonnenberg has published articles and chapters for many publications and textbooks, and for his excellence was named Top Pediatric Dentist in New Jersey in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine. Dr. Sonnenberg maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped. He attributes his success to having a heart, and always giving back. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Sonnenberg enjoys playing golf, skiing, and wine tasting.
