She is a highly-trained and qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Counselor with a vast expertise in all facets of her work, including depression, anxiety, relationships, addiction, bullying, and work-related issues. Mary has been practicing for more than nine years and is currently serving patients at Soaring Spirit Counselling and Psychotherapy in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. As a Psychotherapist, she provides therapeutic treatment to her patients, exploring thoughts, feelings, and behavior with the aim of problem solving or achieving higher levels of functioning.

Mary studied at DCU Dublin in Ireland and received her Master of Science degree in Integrative Psychotherapy. She completed her internship at HSE Mental Health Kildare, Ireland. She uses many different modalities depending on what the client is presenting and what she feels is most appropriate to help that person, including Humanistic Psychotherapy, Gestalt, CBT, Psycho-synthesis, or Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Mary is a Certified Canadian Counsellor by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Her research interest encompass the effect of separation on psychological wellbeing. Mary sees her successful career as an attribute of being empathetic and true and having heart felt connections with her clients. The person coming for counselling is usually apprehensive and needs to feel safe and at ease. Mary creates a warm, safe and respectful space for her clients.
