The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Jennifer Amedio, RN, BSN, CCRN, CPAN, CAPAN, PCCN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders In Healthcare. Jennifer Amedio is a Registered Nurse holding over 40 years of experience and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially recovery room nursing. She is currently serving patients at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
After already having worked in nursing for five years, Jennifer Amedio graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1981 from the University of Texas Health Science Center. In addition to this, Jennifer is a Certified Critical Care Nurse, a Certified Postanesthesia Nurse, a Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse, and a Progressive Care Certified Nurse.
Her latest accomplishment was the completion of an evidence based practice study on Aromatherapy for treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting. She enjoys doing poster and podium presentations at local and national nursing conferences.
To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field, Jennifer maintains a professional membership with the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She says that her success is due to her dedication and her love for learning. When she is not assisting patients, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, as well as swimming and going to the movies.
