Rafael Amaya, Carmen Aub, Fabian Rios, Scarlet Gruber, Christian De La Campa, Daddy Yankee, Enrique Iglesias win top honors at ‘Premios Tu Mundo’

TELEMUNDO’s exciting live broadcast of the fourth annual “Premios Tu Mundo” (Your World Awards) from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, celebrated fans’ choices honoring their favorite actors, singers and TV moments. The much anticipated event, which featured captivating performances with unique collaborations and world premieres, was hosted by Angelica Vale, Raul Gonzalez, Gabriel Porras, Maria Elisa Camargo, Rafael Amaya and Carmen Aub. Top honors went to actors Rafael Amaya – Favorite Actor-–Super Series and Best Actor with Bad Luck; Christian de la Campa – Favorite Actor–Novela and The Perfect Couple with Scarlet Gruber, who is also Favorite Actress–Novela; Fabian Rios – Best Male Villain-Novela and Best Supporting Actor; and Carmen Aub – Best Female Villain-Super Series and Best Supporting Actress–Super Series. In the music categories top nods went to Enrique Iglesias with Favorite Pop Artist and Party-Starting Song; and Daddy Yankee who won Favorite Urban Artist and his #DYArmy is #FanClub of the Year.  Mario Kreutzberger “Don Francisco” received the Gigante de Gigantes Award for his lifelong contributions to Spanish-language television and popular culture around the world; while popular urban artist Nicky Jam was honored with the Espiritu Guerrero award, which recognizes an artist’s determination to achieve success in spite of obstacles.

The awards ceremony featured a tribute to Joan Sebastian by Mexico’s beloved singer and actress Lucero, as well as surprise and thrilling performances and appearances by Nicky Jam, Paulina Rubio, Fanny Lu, Yandel, Alejandra Guzman, Farruko, Yuri, Olga Tañon, J Balvin, Jencarlos Canela, Victor Manuelle, Banda MS de Sergio Lizarraga, Regulo Caro and Ky-Mani Marley. In addition, TELEMUNDO stars, including beloved judge of “Caso Cerrado” Ana Maria Polo; Venezuelan actor and singer, and recent addition to “El Señor de los Cielos,” Gabriel Coronel; co-host of morning variety show “Un Nuevo Dia” and winner tonight for Favorite Entertainment Host Daniel Sarcos; talented Mexican singer and actress from the upcoming second season of “Señora Acero,” Litzy, and winner of the third season of “La Voz Kids” Jonael Santiago, treated viewers to a special performance.

The 4th annual awards show was preceded by the blue carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo,” hosted by Jorge Bernal, Jessica Carrillo, and Boris Izaguirre, with special participation from Caeli, Christian Ramirez and Kika Rocha.

TELEMUNDO viewers voted online at PremiosTuMundo.com; selecting from 30 competing categories. With over 10 million votes, the 2015 edition of “Premios Tu Mundo” more than doubled the fan voting from the previous year.
