Visit Tampa Bay to be 2017 Marketing Hall of Fame Recipient

The American Marketing Association (AMA) Tampa Bay Chapter is pleased to announce Visit Tampa Bay as the 2017 Marketing Hall of Fame recipient for the 2017 Marketer of the Year Awards. The Hall of Fame is the most prestigious award of the year. It represents a legacy of commitment to marketing excellence in the Tampa Bay community, and has been presented to Publix and the Tampa Bay Lightning in years past.

“Over the past several years, Visit Tampa Bay has used creative, innovative marketing best practices to showcase Tampa Bay as a top destination. As a result, hotel stays have dramatically increased, tourism is booming and our economy is growing,” said Toi Walker, Vice President of Marketer of the Year for AMA Tampa Bay. “Visit Tampa Bay has established themselves as a leader in the marketing community and has had a lasting impact on our overall economic development. The AMA is pleased to honor this esteemed leader in the marketing community.”

As Tampa Bay’s premier, results-based marketing award, the Marketer of the Year event recognizes and honors elite marketers from both brands and agencies for their ability to create measurable change within their companies, organizations and institutions through creative marketing campaigns and best practices.

The Marketer of the Year Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday evening, April 5th, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC in South Tampa. In Addition to the Hall of Fame award, 11 category winners will be honored, along with one Grand Marketer of the Year, the Educator of the Year and the Volunteer of the Year. All winners will receive unique, hand-blown trophies made exclusively for this event and recognition among their peers.
