Mr. Chika Sylva-Olejeme, Chief Mentorship Officer of the National Mentorship Office of Nigeria, on Tuesday will lead a delegation of key stakeholders of the new National Mentorship Programme of Nigeria to a high-level meeting at the US Department of Commerce (USDoC) to establishment guaranteed support for prospective U.S. mentor companies within the National Expatriate Mentorship Strategy (NEMS).
The delegation will also include officials from the U.S. Embassy for Peace, the overarching body of the National Mentorship Programme in the United States of America, and the leading global public relations company SELIG Multimedia, Inc. (which owns and operates The Publicity Agency and PR NewsChannel) which has been named official sponsor company for International Mentees participating in the Nigerian National Expatriate Mentorship Strategy (NEMS).
The meeting is a follow up to a business round-table meeting held at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with representatives of the U.S. Dept. of State, U.S. Department of Commence, Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigerian National Mentorship Office, the Nigeria Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and prospective U.S. mentor companies.
Mr. Skip Jones, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Middle East and Africa, and his team are expected receive the delegation at the U.S. Department of Commence offices at 1401 Constitution Avenue, Washington, D.C. on Tuesday October 3rd 2017.
It is expected that during the meeting the U.S. Department of Commence International Trade Administration will identify:
- The National Expatriate Mentorship Strategy (NEMS) as a Business Enhancement initiative for US Companies who enroll as International Mentor Companies.
- The US Embassy for Peace (USEP) as a Business Advantage Facilitator for US Companies who enroll as International Mentor Companies.
- Nigeria Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Expatriate Mentorship Strategy Steering Committee (NEMS-SC) under the Nigerian Presidency and the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria as the Nigeria Government Guaranteed Support for the International Mentorship Agreements between Nigerian International Mentee companies and a US International Mentor companies.
