Dr. Devyani Chowdhury is a very experienced cardiologist who has been in practice for over 29 years. Her career in medicine started in 1988 when she graduated from the Maulana Azad Medical College of the University of Delhi in India. After moving to the United States, she completed an internship and residency at North Shore University Hospital and Cornell University, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at North Shore University Hospital and New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Chowdhury is board certified in both Cardiology and in Pediatric Cardiology, but it is in this latter field that she has become an internationally renowned expert. She diagnoses and treats a wide range of heart related conditions in children and adolescents, including heart arrhythmia, syncope and congenital heart disease. She has also contributed invaluable research into areas including familial hyperlipidemia and genetic cardiomyopathies.
Dr. Chowdhury has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and alongside her practice she also serves on their Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology council. Her dedication and expertise makes Dr. Devyani Chowdhury a very deserving winner of a 2017 Top Doctor Award.
