Dr. Shaneyfelt’s career in medicine began in 2004 when she obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. Following the completion of medical school, she served both her internship and residency training at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Shaneyfelt is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She keeps up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field by maintaining a professional membership with the American Medical Association, and in addition to her clinical work serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Shaneyfelt attributes her success to staying involved and caring for her patients, and when she is not working, she participates in triathlons and enjoys scuba diving.
