Dr. Obah has been in practice for more than two decades, and is currently serving patients within the Lifespring Pain Management Center in Kaysville, Utah.He is a highly trained and qualified Internist and Anesthesia Pain Medicine Specialist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Obah graduated with his Medical Degree in 1991 from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. He worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Lagos Nigeria, where he rose to become the Head of the Medical Team, clinic administrator/Camp Clinics Supervisor before he moved to the United States to further his studies.
Upon relocating to the United States, he completed a residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, before undertaking his fellowship training at the University of Utah. He received the prestigious ‘Best Patients’ satisfaction awards’ both at the University of Utah and Mount Sinai SOM program. Dr. Obah also won the Pfizer Scholars in Pain Management Award, the first ever at the University. He served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah for a number of years before venturing into the private practice. Dr. Obah is board certified in Anesthesia Pain Medicine and Internal Medicine, and is also certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to treat substance abuse and addiction. Being raised in a close-knit family that cherishes compassion, integrity, and hard work, Dr. Obah believes that greatness is measured by the accomplishment of those we aid and continually improves himself to better serve others.
Dr. Obah maintains a professional membership with the Utah Medical Association and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, allowing him to keep up to date with the latest advances in his field. He attributes his success to hard work, in-depth desire to help anyone in pain, and improving the quality of his patients’ lives. When he is not working, Dr. Obah is a keen sports fan, enjoys spending time with his family and serving in his Church.
