Leading Pulmonologist, Rodney Richie, MD, FACP, is to be Recognized as a 2017 Top Doctor in Waco, Texas

Rodney Richie, MD, FACP, FCCP, and DBIM, a Pulmonologist at Waco Lung Associates, and affiliated with Providence Health Center, has been named a 2017 Top Doctor in Waco, Texas. Dr. Rodney Richie is a highly experienced physician, having been in practice for more than four decades. His long and successful career in medicine began in 1972, when he graduated from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. This is also where he completed an internship, residency and fellowship, as well as serving as Chief Medical Resident at the Veterans Affairs Hospital.

Dr. Richie is board certified in both Internal Medicine and in Pulmonary Disease, but it is in this latter field that has become renowned as an expert across Texas and beyond. He treats a wide range of conditions for adult patients, including asthma and bronchitis, emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease, lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, and sleep apnea. Expert procedures undertaken by him include pulmonary function tests and bronchoscopy.

Dr Richie is also board-certified in Life Insurance Medicine, and he has been a frequent speaker at the annual American Academy of Insurance Medicine meetings as well as a frequent contributor to the Journal of Insurance Medicine and teacher at AAIM’s every-three-year Triennial Course.  He was AAIM’s delegate to the AMA for three years.

Dr. Richie has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is the author of numerous medical papers and a participant in many research projects relating to pulmonary disease. His expertise and dedication makes Dr. Rodney Richie a very worthy winner of a 2017 Top Doctor Award.
