The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Virginia Cozad, RN, CDE, MSN, FNP-BC, CLCP to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Virginia is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant with more than four decades of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing. She is currently working independently near Valentine, Nebraska.
Virginia’s career in nursing began in 1973 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. An advocate for continuing education, she attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, gaining her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Family Practice Nurse concentration in 1997.
Virginia holds additional certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Certified Diabetes Educator, and is also a Certified Life Care Planner. To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in nursing, she maintains a professional membership with the American Nurses Association. She attributes her success to truly loving what she does for a living, and when she is not assisting patients, Virginia enjoys reading and camping.
