Wilson, DDS, MS, Periodontist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Mark M. Wilson is a highly-trained and qualified periodontist with a vast expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Wilson has been in practice for more than 30 years and is currently serving patients within Metropolitan Periodontists in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Wilson graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1977, followed by his Master of Science Degree in Periodontology in 1980, both from the University of Minnesota. To stay current in his field, he maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Periodontology, the Midwest Society of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the Minneapolis District Dental Society, and the Minnesota Association of Periodontists, where he served 5 years as Secretary and 2 years as President.
In 2008, Dr. Wilson became the first periodontist in Minnesota to incorporate the LANAP, Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, as a much more comfortable treatment for periodontal disease. In 2010, Millennium Dental invited Dr. Wilson to train as a national instructor for the new technology. Furthermore, Dr. Wilson trained for and began implementing Wilckodontics, a treatment option that uses a combination of traditional periodontal techniques to significantly accelerate the orthodontic process.
For his excellence and hard work, Dr. Wilson was awarded the first Educational Community Achievement Award, has been consistently recognized as a Top Dentist in the Twin Cities, and has been featured on the Minnesota Edition of Doctor of Dentistry’s cover story. Dr. Wilson attributes his success to the Comprehensive Dental Study Club, the newest technology, and making a difference in the field. When he is not assisting patients, he enjoys biking, gardening, baseball, and football.
