Daniel Pronk, BMBS, FRACGP, BExSc to be Published in The Leading Physicians of the World as New Member of the International Association of HealthCare Professionals

The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Daniel Pronk, BMBS, FRACGP, BExSc to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly-trained and qualified general practitioner with a vast expertise in trauma and military medicine. Dr. Pronk has been practicing for more than twelve years and is currently serving patients as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service (CCHHS) in Hidden Valley, Queensland, Australia, a position he embraced in 2015. Key achievements in his present role include writing and implementing a new Senior Medical Officer handover policy to minimize the potential for adverse patient outcomes due to the handover process. Dr. Pronk holds an impressive military career that encompasses four military deployments with the Special Operations Task Group in Afghanistan.

Dr. Pronk received a bachelor of exercise science (BExSc) in 2000 at Griffith University, followed by a bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery (BMBS) in 2004 at Flinders University and medical residency at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, South Australia. In 2011, Dr. Pronk was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He is currently pursuing his master degree of business administration, which is due for completion in December 2016. Over the years, Dr. Pronk has completed a full spectrum of medical courses, including pediatric basic and advanced life support courses, adult trauma and pediatric emergencies – clinical emergency management programs, advanced life support course, Advanced Life Support Level 1 – Immediate Life Support course, early management of severe trauma instructor course, NATO Special Operations Medical Leaders Course (Belgium), Early Management of Severe Trauma course, and Medical Officer Underwater Medicine Course.

Dr. Pronk is currently exploring new opportunities working in a regional general practice and emergency medicine roles. His competitive strengths include a strong background of working independently or as a part of a team in high-stress, remote environments, strong leadership style, and well-developed interpersonal skills. Throughout his rewarding military career, Dr. Pronk has received several honors and commendations, including the Commendation for Distinguished Service as the Regimental Medical Officer, Special Operations Task Group in 2012, Australian Active Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Australian Service Medal, Australian Defence Medal, NATO Medal, and Timor Leste Solidarity Medal. In his spare time, Dr. Pronk loves Italian cars.
