Gibson is a Registered Nurse with over 35 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially clinical, psychiatry, and mental health nursing. Linda is currently serving patients within Sacramento VA Medical Center and Mesa Vet Center in Sacramento, California. Furthermore, she is also affiliated with the Home Care Division at Saint John’s Health Center, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Linda L. Gibson graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree from Duquesne University, before gaining her Master’s Degree in Psychiatry and Education from the University of Pittsburgh. A board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, Linda keeps up to date with the latest advances in her field by maintaining a professional membership with the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. Additionally, Linda teaches at the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing, and has also previously taught medical students. She attributes her success to her wonderful parents, and the need to take care of others instilled by them. When she is not working, Linda is an avid reader and enjoys traveling.
