With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Shena Borders-Gazaway, RN, MSN, BSN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Shena is a Registered Nurse with 10 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially education. Shena is currently serving patients as Nursing Instructor and Director of the RN-BSN Program at Augusta University, Athens Campus, in Athens, Georgia.
Shena attended Brenau University School of Nursing in Gainesville, Georgia, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2005, followed by her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in 2009 from the same educational venue. Shena is currently pursuing her PhD at Augusta University/Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia, with a projected graduation in 2017.
Shena is an inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and maintains a professional membership with the Georgia Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. A Jonas IV Nurse Leader Scholar, Shena was honored with the Lynette Burrell Nurse Educator Award in 2014 by Lanier Technical College. When she is not working, Shena enjoys reading and singing.
