He then went on to complete his internship at New York Methodist Hospital, followed by his residency at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center. Dr. Karandish is board certified by and has earned the coveted title of Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. To keep up to date in the latest advances in his field, Dr. Karandish maintains a professional membership with the the American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Board, and the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Karandish attributes his success to the inspiration from his parents, especially his father who was a renowned eye surgeon in Iran. He also attributes his success to the support of his entire family, his hard work, dedication and treating his patients like family. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Karandish enjoys enjoys playing piano and composing music. He holds a degree in music composition from Cal-State Long Beach University in California.
