Geller, MD, MPH, FACP, FAAP, Hospitalist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly trained and qualified hospitalist/ICU physician with vast clinical and extensive leadership expertise in all facets of his work. He is a published author and has held a number of faculty appointments, currently serving as adjunct assistant professor in the Division of Global Health at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Geller has been in practice for more than 40 years and has well over 180K clinical encounters over his career. He is currently serving patients as Principal Consultant at The Copper Ridge Group in Treadway, Tennessee. Additionally he is a member of the Board of Directors of Civil Vision International supporting civil society strengthening worldwide.
Dr. Geller graduated with his Medical Degree in 1976 at Indiana University School of Medicine. He trained at the University of Tennessee, University of Louisville, IU Health University Hospital, and the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Geller is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, including general internal medicine and the subspecialty of Geriatric Medicine, as well as the American Board of Pediatrics. He has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Furthermore, Dr. Geller maintains a professional membership with the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
Dr. Geller is a decorated, disabled combat veteran who retired after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, his last 2 years served in Afghanistan, and he has been honored with a Defense Distinguished Service Medal. He attributes his success to being a second-generation physician and developing his love for the craft from his father, Dr. Samuel Geller. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Geller enjoys ranching and animal rescue.
