‘La Voz Kids,’ featuring Sony Latin stars Prince Royce and Natalia Jimenez, premieres to nearly 3.5 million viewers

Sony Music LatinFeaturing Sony Latin artists Prince Royce and Natalia Jimenez as coaches, Telemundo Media’s “La Voz Kids” season premiere opened to a huge audience, reaching over 3.4 million viewers and 1.6 million adults aged 18-49, according to Nielsen.

“La Voz Kids” saw a 27% increase in total viewers and a 12% increase in adults 18-49 versus the show’s season one premiere.

“Natalia Jimenez and Prince Royce have a powerful connection with the U.S. Hispanic audience,” said Nir Seroussi, President of Sony Music US Latin. “It’s no surprise ‘La Voz Kids’ is experiencing such strong results.”

The show also had an impressive performance on social media as “La Voz Kids” generated 932,000 impressions and close to 40,000 tweets. The show’s hashtag, #LVKParty, trended worldwide and within five minutes of the show airing in the United States.

On Telemundo.com, mobile web and apps, “La Voz Kids” garnered over 130,000 unique users, a 70 percent gain from the season one premiere, and the show earned a number one ranking among Hispanic Networks by Unique Audience, according to Social Guide.

Hosted by Daisy Fuentes and Jorge Bernal with music star coaches Prince Royce, Roberto Tapia and Natalia Jimenez, “La Voz Kids” features young vocalists between the ages of seven and 15 competing for a recording contract and a cash prize to support their education.
