Dr. Trushar Patel brings his skills in urology to USF Health.
University of South Florida is pleased to announce that addition of Dr. Trushar Patel to the USF Department of Urology as an Assistant Professor.
A member of the American Urological Association, Endourological Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Dr. Patel arrives at USF following a clinical fellowship in Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urological Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Prior to this, Dr. Patel completed his urology residency at Columbia University Medical Center and earned his medical degree at the New York University School of Medicine in 2006.
“I’m proud to join the elite practices at USF Health,” said Dr. Patel. “By joining the talented staff already established, I look forward to providing exceptional oncological and urological care to our patients.”
With more than 500 robotic procedures to his name, Dr. Patel will now treat invasive kidney, prostate, and bladder cancer surgery at USF. Along with his partners who are leaders in the field of male sexual dysfunction, Dr. Patel and USF Health has the resources to provide complete urologic care to all patients, and are proud to be leading the way in minimally invasive care.

Dr. Patel is currently seeing patients at the USF Health South Tama Center for Advanced Healthcare and the Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare. He operates at both Tampa General Hospital and Florida Hospital in Tampa.
