The family holiday event is a place to create lasting memories—and this year, guest can video those experiences, download, save and share them with family and friends with the Santa’s Sleigh Green Screen Experience and the Santa Cam.  Christmas at the Galt House Hotel is also bringing the international spotlight to Louisville with the debut of Sing ‘n’ Joy International Choral Festival and Competition.  The Colors of the Season Holiday Dinner Show also brings a festive experience that can put even the Grinch in the holiday spirit.

New for 2013:

  • New Event: Sing ‘n’ Joy International Choral Festival and Competition, November 29-December 1, 2013
    This Thanksgiving weekend event will bring choirs from across the globe to participate and share their unique cultural traditions.
  • New Character: Ernie the Engineer, located in the Candy Cane Forest in KaLightoscope Christmas
  • New Event: Ernie the Engineer’s Express Lunch, December 8, 15, and 22
  • New Feature: Santa’s Sleigh Green Screen Experience, download video and share, located in KaLightoscope Christmas
  • New Feature: Make a Flake, learn to create beautiful snowflake with everything from snowmen to birds, dinosaurs to bugs, and so much more! Located in KaLightoscope Christmas
  • New Feature: Santa Cam, download and share video of your kids talking with Santa. Located 2nd Floor, RIVUE Tower.

These new features enhance the experience of KaLightoscope Christmas’ larger-than-life luminaries, the Christmas Village with the Snow Fairy Princess, her castle, restored animated figures from the old Stewart’s Department Store, the life-sized Gingerbread House, and the Candy Cane Forest with 100 animated characters, including Mr. Sugar Pine the Talking Tree and the Peppermint Express Kiddie Train Ride.  Another favorite of guests is the Bellmen who dance the Countdown to Christmas every night at 5 p.m. in the lobby to the amusement of guests November 29th through December 24th.

Guests get a Free Child’s KaLightoscope Christmas Ticket with the purchase of an Adult KaLightoscope Christmas Ticket.  Adult tickets are $18.99 Friday-Sunday and $14.99 Monday-Thursday and may be purchased at the on-site box office or through Sing ‘n’ Joy concert tickets and daily flex passes for competitions and educational workshops are available for the November 29-December 1 event. The Colors of the Season Holiday Dinner Show runs November 16-December 14.  Individual and group overnight packages are available for all events.
