Dr. Cara Gatto-Weis is an established Anatomic Pathologist currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio. She is also affiliated with the University of Toledo Medical Center. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has expertise in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and cytopathology, and a special interest in the performance of fine needle aspiration biopsies with on site interpretation.
Dr. Gatto-Weis’ acclaimed career in medicine began in 1994, when she graduated with her Medical Degree from the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. After medical school, she completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency and Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology fellowship with Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Gatto-Weis is dual board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology.
Driven to stay current with the newest developments, guidelines, and procedures in her field, Dr. Gatto-Weis is a distinguished member of the College of American Pathologists, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the American Society of Cytopathology, and the Ohio Society of Pathologists. She has dedicated her life to delivering the highest standard of quality care, and is passionate about enhancing her patients’ quality of life. Dr. Gatto-Weis is highly regarded for her expertise in her field, and attributes her success to her diligence and tenacity. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
