The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Michelle A. Allard, RN to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Michelle A. Allard is an established Registered Nurse who continues to provide exceptional care and support as a School Nurse with the Syracuse City School District in New York. She also works at the McCarthy Comprehensive Program at Beard, and performs many psychosocial interventions. Featuring over two decades of experience in nursing, 13 of which spent in school nursing, Michelle has a special expertise in mental health, correctional nursing, physical medicine and rehabilitation, home care, mentoring, supervising, wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging.
Michelle’s career in nursing began in 1992, when she graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Crouse Hospital School of Nursing. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses and is committed to furthering her knowledge and skills in nursing. Michelle remains a professional member of Zone 10 School Nurses and the New York State Nurses Association.
Michelle has dedicated her life to providing quality and compassionate care. She mentors children out of school, and has been involved with helping young gang members for 16 years. She keeps in touch with the children from her district who are now adults and in prison, has a good relationship with many judges, probation and parole officers, and is reached out to by 11 prisons. She also spends her time as a nurse for her uncle’s gym, and is involved with the amateur boxing community. Michelle attributes her success to looking at the whole person, and going above and beyond what is expected of her.
