Phillips is an established Nurse currently serving as Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Clinical Professor within the University of California, Irvine Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in health policy, nurse education, primary care, and professional nursing issues.
Susanne’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1992, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree in 1992 from California State University Long Beach. An advocate for pursuing further education, she remained within the same institution to complete her Master of Science Degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate in 2006, before earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in 2015 from Yale University with an emphasis on health policy. Since graduating, Susanne has completed a number of advanced training courses, and is also an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and served as a gubernatorial appointee to the California Board of Registered Nurses.
To stay current with the latest advances in nursing, Susanne remains a distinguished member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. She has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients, as well as quality education to her students.
