San Andrés has been in practice for more than seven years and is currently serving patients within the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. Maria J. San Andrés earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2010 from the Texas A&M University Health Sciences Center College of Medicine in College Station, Texas. She then completed a residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals, with whom she remains associated.
Dr. San Andrés is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Texas Pediatric Society. She also enjoys teaching parents about discipline and parenting while volunteering for parenting classes given by a local organization in Galveston. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys working with Hispanic families. When she is not working, Dr. San Andrés enjoys scrapbooking and baking, and is also a photographer.
