Judith R. Hughes is an established Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients within CareTeam Health in Charleston, South Carolina. She also serves part-time as an occupational nurse at a large manufacturing company in Marion, SC, part-time providing hospice visits for recertification for Medicare, and part-time providing primary care to patients. Judith features over two decades of experience in her field.
Judith’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1993, when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner concentration in 1998 within the same educational venue.
To stay current with the latest advances and developments in nursing, Judith remains a distinguished member of the American Nurses Association, and South Carolina Nurses Association, as well as locally with the Grand Strand Advance Practice Registered Nurses Association. She is known for her caring and compassionate approach to nursing, and has expertise in hospice care, home health, urgent care, primary care, geriatrics, public health, occupational health and women’s health nursing. She has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality care to her patients, and attributes her success to her tenacity, determination, teaching, constantly learning, patient safety, and overcoming challenges. In her free time, Judith enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors at the beach.
