Bernal is an established Interventional Radiologist currently serving patients within Advanced Imaging Interventional Center, a private radiological center located in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Featuring over three decades of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in all facets of his work. Furthermore, Dr. Bernal serves as a Clinical Professor at Ponce Medical School in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Bernal was educated at the Universidad Central del Caribe, graduating with his Medical Degree in 1986. Following the completion of medical school, he completed an internship at Maryland General Hospital of the University of Maryland, prior to his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Thereafter, Dr. Bernal undertook his one year Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Bernal remains a distinguished member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. For his wealth of experience and contributions to his field, he is the recipient of the Doctors’ Choice Awards from 2005 until 2015. He has dedicated his life to providing the highest standard of quality care to his patients, and attributes his success to his patients, practice associates, and the inspiration from his dad who is also a radiologist. In his free time, Dr. Bernal enjoys playing and watching basketball.
