Dr. Matsunaga’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1986 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Following the completion of medical school, he went on to complete his residency training at Saint Agnes Hospital and the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Dr. Matsunaga is dual board certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and he is an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the North American Neuromodulation Society, allowing him stay current with the latest advances in his field. He has dedicated his life to providing the highest level of quality care, and attributes his success to his passion for patient care and making a difference, as well as his belief in continual education and his use of the latest technology. When he is not working, Dr. Matsunaga enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.
