Dr. El-Amin’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 2003, when he graduated with his Medical Degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following the completion of medical school, he completed a residency at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, before undertaking his fellowship training in Shoulder and Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgery at New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery. Furthermore, Dr. El-Amin earned his Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Drexel University.
Dr. El-Amin is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a distinguished member of the the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society. He is known across Georgia and beyond as an expert in shoulder surgery and the treatment of sports injuries, and is particularly renowned for his groundbreaking work in the use of artificial tissue techniques, founding Southern Illinois University’s Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Advanced Biomaterials. He has served as Assistant Team Doctor for the New York Knicks, and attributes his success to his faith and his excellent upbringing. In his free time, Dr. El-Amin enjoys basketball and playing golf.
