Highly Respected Advanced Practice Nurse, Josephine Muxlow, MSc, RN, CPMHN(c) will be Noted in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Josephine Muxlow, MSc, RN, CPMHN(c) to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Josephine Muxlow is an established Advanced Practice Nurse currently serving as Clinical Nurse Specialist for Health Canada and the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch in the Atlantic Region, Nova Scotia, Canada. Featuring over four decades of experience in nursing, Josephine is a specialist in psychiatric mental health. She has worked in many areas of the nursing field, gaining experience and expertise along the way.

Josephine attended Medway School of Nursing in the United Kingdom, obtaining her Diploma of Nursing and becoming a State Registered Nurse. She remained in England and successfully completed the First and Second Examinations of the Central Midwives Board. Upon relocating to Canada, Josephine graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1990 from the School of Nursing at Dalhousie University. She then went on to earn her Master of Science Degree with a Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist concentration in 1993 from Boston College in Massachusetts. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses, and holds additional certification as a Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse in Canada.

Josephine is a distinguished member of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Association of Canada, the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia, the New Brunswick Association of Registered Nurses, the Association of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island, the Guidelines International Network, and the College of Registered Nurses of Ontario, allowing her to stay current with the latest advances in her field. For her hard work and dedication to her specialty, she is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions and has published several articles. She attributes her success to her spirituality, love, commitment and passion for nursing. In her free time, Josephine enjoys cooking, gardening, crocheting, embroidering, and having fun.
