Susan Diane Rich, MD, MPH, DFAPA, board certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrist and owner of Therapeutic Learning Centers, has been named a 2017 Top Doctor in Potomac, Maryland. A residency in psychiatry at the Georgetown University School of Medicine followed, prior to a fellowship in child/adolescent psychiatry at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Rich also holds a Master of Public Health Degree in health policy and administration from UNC School of Public Health.
Dr. Rich is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and provides expert treatments for a wide range of neuropsychiatric conditions. She is especially renowned as one of the foremost experts in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurodevelopmental disorders associated with prenatal exposure to alcohol. To that end, she has established a therapeutic farm animal sanctuary for individuals with prenatal alcohol exposure.
Alongside her practice, she is the founder, President and CEO of the 7th Generation Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness and developing programs for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorder associated with prenatal alcohol exposure. Her dedication and expertise in this field makes Dr. Susan Diane Rich a very worthy winner of a 2017 Top Doctor Award.
