Dr. Hierholzer’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1981, when she graduated from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Medicine. Upon earning her Medical Degree, she completed her internship and residency at Truman Medical Center – West and Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill. Furthermore, she holds an additional Master of Business Administration Degree, and is certified by the esteemed American Board of Emergency Medicine.
To keep up to date with the latest advances in her field, Dr. Hierholzer is an active member of the Kansas City Medical Society, the Missouri State Medical Association and the American Medical Association, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. COVERSA’s (Collection of Victim Evidence Regarding Sexual Assault) mission is to provide victims of sexual violence with immediate, compassionate and competent forensic medical services. Dr. Hierholzer attributes her success to her parents, who greatly inspired her, and when she is not working she enjoys the theatre, swimming, and spending time with her two dogs.
