Calling all photographers! Members of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts can now submit two entries for the 2017 Members Show.

Museum members can submit their work to the show now through Aug. 18. There will be eight categories featured in this year’s exhibition: Travel, Forms and Figures, Fashion, Food, Design, Tampa Heritage, Science/Technology and Animals.

“The Members Show is a great opportunity for both the museum and our membership,”
said FMoPA Executive Director Zora Carrier, Ph.D. “It allows us to showcase our members’ talent and diverse perspectives, and at the same time, it’s an excellent platform for our members to gain exposure for their work.”

To participate in the show, each artist must already be a member of the museum or sign up for a membership at the time of submission. Starting July 1, members can submit a second submission to the show. Cost of entry is $35 for the first submission and $25 for the second submission. However, members can waive the second entry fee by becoming monthly donors, which requires a monthly donation of at least $5 per month.

All submissions will be installed in the museum’s Community Gallery. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held at the museum from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 25. Winners from each category will receive a prize awarded by FMoPA’s community sponsors.

Submission guidelines can be found at www.membersshow.fmopa.org.

For more information on becoming a monthly donor, please visit www.fmopa.org/monthly-donors. Visit www.fmopa.org/join to purchase or update a membership.
