The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Ruth B. Richardson, RN, Ed.D, MA, BSN, BA to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Ruth B. Richardson is a Community Health Nurse with more than four decades of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing. Ruth is currently serving students as a School Nurse within Ketcham Elementary School in Washington, D.C.
Ruth graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from American University in 1975, before attending George Mason University and gaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1976. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to obtain her Master of Arts Degree in Health Administration in 1980 from Antioch University, followed by her Doctorate of Education in 1996 from the University of Washington Tacoma Institute of Technology.
An inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Ruth keeps up to date with the latest advances in nursing by maintaining professional memberships with the American Nurses Association and the National Black Nurses Association. She attributes her success to the honor of God, her education, knowledge, and experiences, as well as her compassionate spirit. When she is not assisting her students, Ruth enjoys reading and traveling.
