The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Regino Rico, PhD, RN, PHN, MSN, FNP to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Dr. Regino Rico has over 24 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of her work, especially in simulation education and research. Dr. Rico is currently the Campus Dean of Nursing at West Coast University in North Hollywood, California.
Dr. Regina Rico graduated from LAC/USC School of Nursing in 1992, becoming a registered nurse. An advocate for continuing education, Dr. Rico attended the University of Phoenix – Southern California Campus where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Master of Science Degree in Nursing becoming a public health nurse and family nurse practitioner.
Dr. Rico holds an additional PhD, and maintains a professional membership with the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Clinical Nurse Leader Association. Furthermore, Dr. Rico served in the United States Air Force for 8 years and 3 years as an Army Nurse. For her wealth of experience and knowledge, she was declared Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year. She attributes her success to seeing the need for good health care, as well as positive student outcomes. In her free time, Dr. Rico enjoys traveling to the mountains.
