Barbara F. Delo attended Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York, graduating with her Nursing Degree in 1983. She holds an additional Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, and is an inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

To stay current in the nursing field, Barbara maintains a professional membership with the American Nurses Association and the Professional Nurses Association of Rockland County. Throughout her career in nursing, Barbara has been passionate about patient advocacy and treating her patients with careful hands and a kind heart. She has performed research, and has presented materials and speeches on long term care. In her free time, Barbara enjoys knitting, cooking, and traveling, as well as continuing to be a patient advocate.
