Michael Tracey is a Registered Nurse with 26 years of experience in his field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially medical/surgical, gerontology, and oncology nursing, as well as wound care. Michael is currently serving patients as a Staff Nurse within Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, North Carolina which is affiliated with UNC Healthcare.
Michael Tracey’s career in nursing began in 1990, when he graduated with his Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Lenoir Community College in Kinston, North Carolina. He is a Registered Nurse, ANCC Board Certified Gerontology Nurse and is also certified to insert PICC Lines.
For his wealth of knowledge and experience, Michael was selected by the North Carolina Institute for Nursing Excellence as one of the best direct care nurses in the state. He attributes his success to his compassionate nature and extensive training, which has made him a vocal advocate for his patients. From beginning in the field as a naval hospital corpsman to his current position, Michael strives to be at the forefront of evidence based quality care. When he is not assisting his patients, Michael enjoys gardening, fishing, and orchid growing with his wife.
