The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Loreitta M. Tuthill, RN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Loreitta M. Tuthill is a Registered Nurse with 49 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially intensive care, cardiac intensive care, intermediate care, progressive care, and emergency room nursing. Loreitta is currently serving patients on the Nursing Resource Team within Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Loreitta commenced her professional journey in 1967 when she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. In 1974, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and began working in intensive care and telemetry, before graduating with her Nursing Degree in 1991 from Excelsior College. An advocate for continuing education, Loreitta is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Western Governors University. She holds additional certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course.
To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field, Loreitta maintains a professional membership with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She attributes her success to her grandmother, Alverta Mae Metzker, who realized her dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and set the example that it is never too late to move forward towards your dreams, as well as enjoying the daily interaction with all her patients, their families, and her coworkers. When she is not assisting patients, Loreitta enjoys woodworking, and spending time with her cats, husband, and family.
