The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Layla Marie Godfrey, RN, BSN, Registered Nurse to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Layla Marie Godfrey is a Transplant Coordinator currently serving patients at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. With over seven years of experience in and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, Layla is a specialist transplant nurse.
Layla Marie Godfrey’s career in nursing began in 2009 when she graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach. An advocate for continuing education, five years later Layla obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Sentara College of Health Professionals. Furthermore, she holds additional certification as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator.
Layla specializes as a post-transplant coordinator for kidney and pancreas transplants. She was inspired to become a nurse by a high school teacher who ran the school’s CNA program. Layla attributes her great success in her field to the support of her parents, and when she is not assisting patients, she enjoys exploring Florida with her husband and her puppy.
