Highly Regarded Radiologist, Elizabeth Kagan Arleo, MD, will be Presented in The Leading Physicians of the World

She is a highly trained and qualified radiologist with expertise in all facets of her work, especially women’s imaging. Dr. Arleo has been in practice for over six years and is currently serving patients at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, New York. Furthermore, Dr. Arleo is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Dr. Arleo completed her Medical Degree at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. She then completed her internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, followed by her Radiology residency and Women’s Imaging fellowship at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Arleo is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.

At the national level, Dr. Arleo is a subject editor (Women’s Imaging) for the journal Clinical Imaging; on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Women Radiologists (AAWR); and on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Commissions for 1) Breast Imaging, 2) Human Resources, and 3) Women and General Diversity.

Dr. Arleo’s research focuses on multiple topics in Women’s Imaging, including breast imaging, pelvic ultrasound, and MRI. She was one of Aunt.Minnie.com’s semifinal candidates for Most Influential Radiology Researcher of 2013. Dr. Arleo has been awarded the AAWR Research and Education Foundation Award in 2010, the American Roentgen Ray Society (AARS) / Fujifilm Education Travel Grant in 2008, a Departmental Evan’s Society Prize in 2006, the Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting Research Travel Award in 2006, and an American Cancer Society Prize in 2004. For her clinical work, Dr. Arleo was selected by the Department of Radiology for the Distinguished House Staff Award in 2007. Additionally, Dr. Arleo is the Founder and Director of the Mentorship Program for Women and Radiology Residents.
