To introduce Tampa businesses to content marketing, PR NewsChannel holds ‘lunch and learn’

Taught by PR expert Glenn Selig, the PR NewsChannel lunch and learn focused on what content marketing is, why it helps create a stronger presence online, and how it drives traffic to websites.

While dining on catered sandwiches, chips and home-baked chocolate chip cookies, some North Tampa area businesses learned about content marketing and how it can help their businesses get noticed online.

Taught by Glenn Selig, founder of the content distribution company PR NewsChannel, the lunch and learn focused on what content marketing is, why it helps create a stronger presence online, and how it drives traffic to websites. Content marketing is “a marketing technique of creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and acquire a clearly defined audience- with the objective of driving profitable consumer action,” according to the Content Marketing Institute.

“[The workshop] re-energized what I need to do in order to get my name out there more,” says Deborah Glover-Pearcey, a Tampa attorney who specializes in estate planning, bankruptcy and family law. “I’m so set in my old ways, I need to figure out how to adapt to the new ways of online marketing.” She hopes to start incorporating what she learned to attract new clients.

“We had a great turn out and I hope everyone got a lot out of it,” says Selig. “It’s great to show people the power that content marketing has on a business.”
Selig also says PR NewsChannel will host more “lunch and learns” in the future, including one set for November 15 at 12pm on “The How-To’s of Content Marketing.”
