When he was growing up in south Florida and Colombia Mylo Nandez worshipped musicians like Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi. Now, at the age of 27 the young musician is wowing audiences and quickly making a name for himself in the Latin music genre.
With success at his fingertips, the up and coming singer has taken the next step in his career and released his debut album, “Mylo Nandez” on July 1st. A Latin pop album with a blend of tropical and urban themes, the self-titled debut is now available on iTunes.
The digital version of the album includes 6 tracks while those who purchase a physical copy will have access to a bonus track. .
“I am so excited for the album’s release,” Nandez said. “I really think that after the overwhelming love and support I received when I released the past few singles, people will enjoy this album even more.”
The album’s third single, “No Te Puedo Olvidar (I Cannot Forget U)” was released late last month and is quickly gaining popularity among fans.
After studying at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood California, Nandez launched his career by singing at some of the most famous venues in the area. After a few years of performing in a traditional rocknroll band, Nandez decided to get back to his Latino roots and embrace a different music genre.
Last year, Nandez released his first single and music video “Rosas Monas” (blonde roses) which received critical acclaim. Following up on his newly found fame the musician released “Otro Amor” which was so successful he launched a tour all in Colombia and Mexico. While in Mexico, he was interviewed by several news outlets including T.V Azteca, Televisa, Canal 8 & Telemundo In addition, Reforma, which is one of the largest news publications in the country, called him an up and coming performer.
Since Mylo is not one to stay still for long, shortly after returning from Mexico he began working with the acclaimed Lee Levin, Alex Gamboa, Mike Fuller, and Dan Warner, all of whom have won Latin Grammy Awards and have worked with huge range of artists like Enrique Iglesias, Daddy Yankee and Ricky Martin to Cher , Christina Aguilera, Timbaland, Pitbul, Shakira and many more
The collaboration between Nandez and all of the above resulted in “No te puedo Olvidar” (I cannot forget you) music & lyrics by Nandez, which was widely admired and directed by the award-winning David Liz.
When Nandez was asked about how he feels about his long musical journey from his childhood as a fan to the big stage as a singer he said “I am just so thankful for the people in my life that have made this all happen. And to my fans I cannot thank you enough. This album is a labor of love that I have made for you. I know that you will all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
