For the second year in a row, digital marketing and creative agency Clark/Nikdel/Powell (CNP) is recognized as a Best Company to Work For in Florida and is featured in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine.
“It’s an honor to be on the Best Companies list for a second time,” CNP President Alex Nikdel said. “We’ve been working hard the past several years to make our firm a place where our employees love to work. Companies that participate in the annual Best Companies list undergo an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also includes a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
“Top companies provide excellent pay, health insurance, 401k plans, and other “hard” benefits, but they also offer the leadership and communications that encourage employees to participate in the organization’s overall success,” says Florida Trend Publisher Andy Corty.
CNP in 2015 expanded its downtown Winter Haven office, adding an additional 4,300-square-foot open workspace with glass walls, modern computers and industrial lighting. The company was named one of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Coolest Offices Spaces earlier this year.
Nikdel, a second-generation partner and former Disney industrial engineer who manages a team of 24 employees, attributes much of the company’s recent growth – which includes an expanding portfolio of technology and higher education clients – to building a culture based on a shared vision and continuous process improvement.
“The fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants approach to managing creative work that you find in many advertising agencies doesn’t always scale well,” Nikdel said. “It may sound counter-intuitive, but adding more structure and discipline has made our agency team happier and our work even better.”
